2015 Southern Hard Core Series Info

When Monster Action Sports, LLC formed the South Alabama Championship Series (SACS) in 2012, the intent was to create a series that filled the need for organized racing in the geographic area from central to south Alabama and the Florida panhandle.

While the SACS series served us well, it is time to take Central and South Alabama motocross to the next level, and in the process serve several other key markets:  the western Florida panhandle, southeast Mississippi, and southwest Georgia.
In 2014, we held the first season of racing in the Southern Hard Core Championship Series.  In a word (or two):  HUGE SUCCESS!

2015 brings a new season and a great schedule of racing!
The Southern Hard Core Series features these great tracks, each run by motocross families with significant racing experience:
Crossbone MX, Monster Mountain MX Park, MX 56 Track and Trails, Phenix City Motocross, and Riverside Motocross.

Each of these tracks brings to our riders a unique motocross experience with races organized and run by racers.
What does that mean to you – the rider?  Because the staffs at each of these facilities have done what you do, we understand your needs, and work hard to see every situation with a “through the goggles” perspective.
Why is that important?  Racing families understand racing families. With that understanding, comes the ability to cater our services and our events to your needs.
Why these tracks?  Each track in this series has something unique to offer.

Crossbone MX Ranch is one two of the coolest sand tracks in the South.  It features really nice shaded parking and fun layouts.  The Miller’s at Crossbone MX are a racing family through-and-through with not one, but two former professional motocrossers in the family.
Monster Mountain, the home track of the Southern Hard Core Series, features an “outdoor national” caliber main track that is the favorite of riders from Canada to California and was featured on the February 2014 cover of Motocross Action Magazine.  MXA test rider and writer called Monster Mountain, “a track where dreams come true.”  The Dirt Rider Associate Editor and Test Rider Kris Keefer (in their February 2014 issue) said:  “If it weren’t for my wife and kid, I wouldn’t leave this track!”

MX 56 Track and Trails (formerly LAMX) features that awesome south Alabama loamy dirt, an awesome layout and one of Alabama’s coolest promoters, Ricky Chancey.  Ricky is literally one of the coolest and most friendly guys in the sport.  Make sure and visit this awesome facility!
Phenix City Motocross is in its 2nd year of racing.  Run by experienced Vet racer, Warren Tyson, Phenix City Motocross is one of the fastest developing new tracks in the South.  Warren is busy building new facilities and fine-tuning, what we are sure is going to become one of Central Alabama’s most popular tracks.
Rounding out the Southern Hard Core Series is one of our personal favorite tracks:  Riverside Motocross in Newton, Alabama.  The Thompson’s (Jamie and his son Kevin) have been organizing and putting on quality events since 1994!  Riverside has great parking, a very spectator friendly layout, and has both sand and clay sections that make this track really fun to ride.
So join us for year two of the Southern Hard Core Championship Series!
